Information on data protection

The protection of your personal data is important to us. We are obliged to inform you of the purpose for which data is collected, stored or forwarded by our establishment. This information also contains details of your rights with regard to the protection of your data. The full and up-to-date Privacy Policy can be found on our homepage at https://www.c19t.ch.

Data is processed within the context of your treatment. We use external platforms such as eTermin and keyper for online appointment booking. Data is processed at our practice in accordance with statutory requirements in order to fulfill the treatment contract between yourself and your physician, and the obligations this involves. We process your personal data – your health data in particular – for this purpose. This includes medical histories, diagnoses, treatment suggestions and findings collected by us or other physicians as part of your treatment. For this purpose, we may also be provided with data by other physicians or psychotherapists with whom you are undergoing treatment (e.g. in the form of medical reports). The collection of health data is a prerequisite for your treatment and is carried out solely in your own interest. If the necessary information is not provided, thorough treatment will not be possible. Any future exchange of your data between our establishment and other medical specialists, hospitals, therapists, speech therapists, medical supply stores, health insurers, pension authorities, pharmacies, retirement/care homes and independent medical examiners will also serve only to ensure optimal medical care.

We only pass your personal data on to third parties if it is legally permissible or you have given your consent for us to do so. Recipients of your personal data may be other physicians/psychotherapists, laboratories, physician’s associations, independent medical examiners working on behalf of insurance companies, medical associations and private medical clearing houses. Data is transmitted primarily for the purpose of invoicing the services provided and for clarifying any medical and insurance-related questions. In exceptional cases, data is transmitted to additional authorized recipients.

We will only store your personal data as long as is necessary to carry out your treatment. Due to legal requirements, we are obliged to store this data for at least ten years following completion of treatment, or possibly longer if other provisions apply.

You have the right to receive information on your personal data being held, and can also request the rectification of incorrect data. In addition to this, you have the right to have your personal data erased, the right to restrict the processing of your data and the right to data portability under certain circumstances. Please contact our staff for further information.

Your data is processed on the basis of legal requirements, and your consent is needed in exceptional cases only. In these cases, you have the right to withdraw your consent for future processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority responsible for data protection if you believe that your data is not being processed in a legitimate manner.
